Abstract

Esteban Acosta is a First Year Skidmore student , who grew up in New York City. Both of his parents came to the United States in 1994 from the Dominican Republic. His parents decided to come to the United States to receive greater economic benefits. In his interview , Esteban tells the story of his parents immigration story. He discussed his identity as a child of immigrants and as a child of immigrants from the Dominican Republic. Additionally, Esteban discussed issues of race and racial profiling.
