Skidmore Retiree Oral History Project

Renato Donato ('18) interviews Leo Geoggrion The Skidmore Retiree Oral History Project collects and archives the stories of faculty and staff who worked at the College in the second half of the 20th century. This collection contains a rich tapestry of stories about the many facets of life and work at liberal arts college in this time period. Hear about such topics as the social unrest in the late 60's, the financial crisis weathered by the college at mid-century, the intellectual and teaching climate, and the impact of technology on the workplace.

At right, retirees are listed by the decade in which they joined the Skidmore community. To hear their stories, click on a retiree’s name to hear an interview audiofile and read a brief description of the interview contents, among other items.
