Description

In this article, margaret Lebrun writes that "fitness doesn't have to wane with age." Her examples are pool-playing Charles Shortsleeves and the bowlers Betty and Harvey mead. They participate in the fourth annual games for adults age 55 and older sponsored by the New York State Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation with the Office for Aging. While teh games are "no olympics" their are activities including pingpong, shuffleboard, pinochle and tennis, basketball, and track and field. While the first two games were held in Albany, the 1986 gamestook place in Cortland, New York.
