Description
Isabelle Williams arrived at Skidmore in 1972 and contributed to every corner of the campus over the next twenty-one years. Educator, pianist, administrator. Dr. Williams consistently demonstrated her deep dedication to the life of the mind and the beauty of artistic expression. In this interview, she describes the transformation of the Music Department’s curriculum, the Ladd family’s support of music programming, and her contributions to the initiation of Skidmore’s “new” Liberal Studies curriculum in 1982. Along the way, she provides the listener with a lively sense of campus culture during the years of her tenure.
