Abstract (& Historical Note)

This black and white photograph postcard depicts the Scott House that was a dormitory for the all-women Skidmore College. Postcard is postmarked Sep. 1954, 10:30 AM.

Message: "Dear Susan- This is a picture of our dorm- IT is way up at one end of campus, and consequently we have to walk miles to get anywhere- But it really is nice. We have a great big room and have finally got it all furnished. I like it more every day I'm here- Love, Joanie. P.S. tell Mom I made water ballet."
Addressed to "Mrs. Stanley Stoddard, c/o Philip [Beusou], 193 [Hiuckley] Rd., Milton, Mass."
