Abstract
This crank radio is more than just an outdated radio. To anyone else it looks like a normal outdated object. But when I look at it, it is like i'm time traveling. Every time I look at it, I get to relive my past summers at my job on the beach. Normally I would be impatiently cranking away, waiting for the radio to power up, but since I was on the beach enjoying the sun I was not in distress. When I crank this radio in any other setting it does not seem right and I usually do not continue. I have this in my dorm almost as a symbol of my past great summers in high school working on the beach. I remember packing for college and seeing it. Realistically why would I need a crank radio? I have the internet. I still wanted it in my dorm, to remind me of warm times and good vibes.
