Description
Melissa Deutsch is a veteran middle school social studies educator with over 28 years of experience in the Suburban Council schools. She currently teaches 7th grade at Maple Avenue Middle School in the Saratoga Springs City School District.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts from Skidmore College and a Master’s degree from SUNY Albany. Beyond the classroom, she has been a passionate advocate for educators through her extensive involvement in the Saratoga Springs Teachers Association (SSTA). Over the past thirteen years, she has served in numerous leadership roles including union representative, chair of the Educational Concerns Committee, NYSUT representative, contract negotiations team member, ED 10 representative, vice president, and president.
