Abstract (& Historical Note)

This pictorial map of downtown Saratoga Springs, created in 1888 and printed by L. R. Burleigh, is one of the most popular views of the nineteenth century Spa City. With accurate drawings of the key buildings in the downtown, monuments in the cemeteries and downtown, and activities such as the circular railroad in Congress Park, it serves as an effective visual record of the streetscape of the last quarter of the nineteenth century.
