Description
Eric Weller joined the Philosophy Faculty at Skidmore in 1963. He became Dean of the Faculty in 1975, a post that he retained until 1990. Despite Weller’s substantial administrative responsibilities, teaching philosophy remained a central commitment throughout his years at Skidmore. In this interview he describes the transition to Joseph Palamountain’s Presidency from the Wilson years, the College’s move to coeducation, curricular changes of the 70’s and 80’s, and the challenges of being Dean of Faculty.
