Description
Michael Arnush came to Skidmore in 1989 as Director of Classical Studies, after receiving his PhD in classics and ancient history from the University of Pennsylvania. He served many roles during his tenure at the College: he taught Greek and Latin languages and history; developed the first summer program abroad which included students, alums and Skidmore board members; built the Honors Forum; developed and directed the First Year Experience, and developed and taught in the Scribner Seminars Program. Michael served on several college committees and in 2020 became Associate Dean of the Faculty for Student Affairs. He retired in 2023. Since retirement he has been writing a novel, “The Tattered Satchel.”
